Today Charlie went with me on a city tour of Istanbul, Turkey. We are at the start of a trip to Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan but my outbound flight includes a long layover in Istanbul and so I took advantage of the Turkish Airlines offer of a free city tour.

This offer was pretty good, as it includes the use of a tour bus and guide plus entry fees to all of the sights that you see. It even includes a minimum of two meals depending on the time of your tour and how long your layover it.
After breakfast we were taken to the centre of the city and shown the main sights including various monuments, the Blue Mosque, the Topkapi Palace, and a few other places before being given a free lunch. Overall I think it was a good overview of the city, although there is far more to see there. One thing I did enjoy seeing was a good view of the Bosphorus from the Topkapi Palace, and I took a photo of Charlie there too.

Next stop Tashkent, Uzbekistan!
