Category: Articles
Any articles that I write about travelling that aren’t specific to a particular trip.
In 2014 I wrote an article about whether adventure travel is right from you. This expanded on the experiences that I’ve had on several of my trips where some people just weren’t prepared for the trip and went out of their way to make life difficult for people.
I never wrote any other articles on here, as work got in the way, but I’m relaunching this section with the 2021 site relaunch and will post a minimum of 1 article a month on here.
These articles will be based solely on my real travel experiences, not on news items unless relevant, on commercial interests, or on theoretical travel lists. They will be designed solely to help you develop your curiosity for travel, and to have some great travel experiences.

This article looks at whether adventure travel is right for you. It draws on my experiences of things that can go wrong on trips, how some people moan about the smallest of things, and how if you’re able to accept that adventure travel can have mishaps then it can be the most rewarding style of travel you’ll ever experience.
The article was written as a blog post centering on the problems I encountered in advance of my trip to Myanmar while drawing on events that have happened to me in the past while travelling to explain why I love adventure travel.
